okay so it's been uber long since either of us updated! haha anw anw there's a few awesome food i've to absolutely RAVE about =)

1. Cheesecake Cafe
okay i'm sure you've all heard of this nice little place tucked somewhere around frankel, finally went there last fri. ah the cheesecake was simply wonderful. not really a fan of cheesecake, but if i've to choose i'd prefer the dry baked kind rather than the heavy wet ones. so i had these simply awesome cheesecake from Japan from like one of those random shops at the airport [of all places!] the kind that's 'freshly baked' tho it's already packed in the box and my my don't underestimate that mild looking round thing! it just melted in my mouth. like melted. oh gosh i'm craving for it right now. so anw [back in sg] i chose the dryest-bakish looking one -- the rum and raisin cheesecake. and it was good. of course it didn't quite melt in my mouth and all like the other, but there was just the right amount of rum and raisins in every bite. not too strong and overpowering, it was love at first bite, yes cliched i know >_< so yes, if you've the time, please go over and try it! k but it's not as cheap and nice as the one from japan, but for a close alternative, why not! oh oh no pics coz they didn't allow =(

2. Durian Pancake
yes there's this nice little pushcart thing in chinatown. take exit C after you come out of chinatown mrt, or just walk along the people's park complex side. it's one of those pushcarts you see outside OG, right beside the one selling thai cakes or sth. now this one's value for money -- only 1.20 for durian oomph! hahaha. the pancake is nice and thin, with a huge dollop of durian sandwiched inbetween. best eaten fresh, like right after they pack it into that brown bag and hands it to you over the counter. really really. that's when the pancake is still warm and the durian dollop is cold and oozes out everywhere. whoooooooooosh.

3. Cheeky Chocolates
nice little shop along upper thomson, green walls decorated with pictures of chocolates and chocolate posters, brown tables and brown sofas... my perfect little haven! hahaha. so anw they've like sweet and savory crepes, choc drinks, desserts... [erm but they're date pudding wasn't that great it was more of a choc cake 0_0] and best of all *drumroll* CHOCOLATES! hello that's the name of the shop duh they'll serve it right. it's about $2.10-2.30 per chocolate, with like 12 different flavours. okay nvm forget about the other 11, just try the sad little rum ball. that's got to be the most awesome sad little thing i've ever had. like every bite packs so much oomph that everything just suddenly becomes happy and fuzzy and nice. dark chocolate and rum --that's gotta be the perfect combi man! seriously. anyone can bribe me with anything just with that one little small ball. or like propose to me with a ring inside that little ball of heaven. oh gosh. okay i'm getting carried away, but you get the idea. chocolate orgasm >_< [a word An coined when we had loads of chocs at max brenners]
